This page was useful when I lived in Vermont, but my list of vendor connections is just to big to represent in this format any longer. In a week or so, this will become a press page, but for now-- here are some resources that I love.

Indie Bride

I love Indie Bride (.) com. I will admit to being addicted to the message board for both personal and professional reasons-- but the tips, tricks, and pics from other think-out-side-the-box grrls in the midst of wedding planning isn't the only reason to go. There are articles, a blog, and even an etiquette page.
Visit them on the web.

Offbeat Bride

I consume a lot of wedding related material-- from books, to magazines, to message boards (see above)-- and I think the Offbeat Bride is one of the best wedding books I've ever read. This book may not give you a step by step guide to planning an offbeat wedding (because that's not the point), but it will make you feel sane and supported in doing so. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud funny moments and some great tips as well. If you want your hand held, however, this is not the book for you. It encourages you to think for yourself and find your own path.

The author also has a blog which she updates regularly with vendors, answers to questions, pictures, and other anecdotes from offbeat brides. There is also a link to purchase the book from her main site.

Vermont Vows

Vermont Vows is a visually stunning publication full of informative articles, tasteful advertising, and real examples of what local wedding providers are capable of-- it's worth the few bucks you'll have to pay to pick one up. You can skim through a virtual copy of their magazine on their website, but it doesn't beat the real thing. This is one for your scrapbooks.
